This position you are responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing all on-site activities in accordance with the requirements of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages site activities, manpower, equipment, subcontractors and material to be efficient and cost effective
• Communicates with the owner, design team and project manager to effectively convey necessary information to and from the field
• Works closely with project manager and project engineer to track subcontractor progress, budget, schedule, RFI’s, shop drawings, submittals, plan revisions and change orders
• Communicates with field operations manager to fulfill manpower, safety and equipment requirements as needed
• Supervises all Farwest employees and subcontractors working on the assigned project
• Creates and enforces Site Specific Safety Plan
• Responsible for scheduling inspections and testing, quality control, conforming to local building code and ADA requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• 2+ years construction experience in commercial construction. Restaurant and retail construction experience are preferred.
• Knowledge of all tools, materials and methods involved in commercial site-work and building construction
• Understands and is able to apply construction scheduling principles
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, and shop drawings
• Basic computer skills and a moderate level of experience with MS Office and MS Project
• Creates and maintains project schedule and daily logs
• Experienced at Metal Stud Framing and Drywall
• Skilled at hanging doors and Relites
• Working in occupied buildings (must be an excellent communicator)
